PERFECTLY LOCATED The beach house is a perfectly located family friendly beach house. I was there with three young kids, a boy 11, a girl 9 and a boy 6. They had park over road for playing great and rollerskating/skateboarding on. The beach itself and a great old style swimming pool as well where there was a proper skateboarding ramp area. I worried a little about beach as I had heard sharks were an issue around Stockton and it can get dumpy, but southern end is safe and well patrolled between 9 to 5, so that was all great. My eldest began learning to surf, others enjoyed it a lot. There's also a great cafe called Lexie's right by beach where flags are that serves excellent coffee and good food. Marie's house itself has three bedrooms and new kitchen, all the mod cons you could need and a huge backyard as well. With nearby shops and 5 min walk to beach it really is the ideal family holiday place. January 2014

WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME

My family and I stayed at Maree's lovely house for five days in between Christmas and New Year's Eve. We were Maree's first guests following her remodelling of the kitchen and bathroom. Her house was immaculately presented, bright and cheerful.

The kitchen was fully equipped with new stove and dishwasher. Maree also very kindly supplied us with some basic foodstuffs, which was very welcome as we arrived on Christmas Day when all the shops were closed. We were very comfortable in the house and appreciated the comfortable beds and plentiful towels.

Maree really had thought of everything. We spent some time in the house watching TV, and getting Eagle Boys Pizza delivered one night. We also ate from the local Asian takeaway, and at the bowling club which had nice food, and live music.

Maree was very kind, collecting us from the ferry wharf, and dropping us off when we left. We caught the train from Sydney, and then took the very short ferry ride to her place from Sydney which was an easy journey. We rented bikes in Newcastle for some riding around the area.

We enjoyed our beach holiday staying in Stockton which has a beautiful patrolled beach right across the road from the house. In short: we had a fantastic time. We liked the house, and Stockton and Maree as well. Thanks Maree!

Location location - family holiday We stayed at the end of January and had a fantastic weekend family holiday. The place was newly updated and is so close to the beach you can smell the sea breeze. The owner was staying in the other half of the house whilst she finished the renovations and was lovely, warm and welcoming with milk in the fridge. Stockton is a beautiful place to visit and this is the perfect place to stay whilst doing so. Thank you!! We will be coming back again!! January 2014

GREAT TEAM ACCOMMODATION My team played in the Newcastle Basketball comp in March and the team and I and the coaches stayed at the beach house for 5 days. There were 14 of us staying there so we used all the beds! It was a great place - tons of room and the beds were very comfortable - we all got good sleep each night which we needed as we were competing every day. I recommend the Bowlo which is just across the road for good food and cheap drinks. March 2014

Great Location - across the road to the beach My wife and I stayed at this great house at the end of March 2014. The house is fresh and bright with a real seaside feel to it. The owner has done a great job making it comfortable and welcoming. The bed was really comfortable. The beach is over the road from the house. I counted the walking steps to get from the house to the sand of Stockton Beach - it took only 165 waking paces to reach the sand. We had our tennis racquets with us so we took advantage of having the tennis courts being directly across the street from the house, it was so easy to get onto the courts for a game. The Stockton Bowling Club is beside the tennis courts and to book a court and get the key all we had to do was go to the Bowling Club to pay for the court hire and get the key. After tennis we had a few cool ales at the Bowling Club and had dinner at the bistro, then we walked only about 70 metres back to the house. I will definitely come back for a longer stay and next time I will bring a group of friends with me because the house is very spacious. I highly recommend it. March 2014

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE ON STOCKTON BEACH We were a large family reunion group of 14 who spent a lovely weekend at this house. The house is opposite a patrolled beach and therefore an ideal location for holiday makers. With a number of restaurants close by, what more could you ask for? Marie lives in the granny flat in the back, but she is very conscious of our privacy and we don't even realise she is near. Marie is also very caring, making sure we have everything we need and goes out of her way to ensure it is a comfortable stay. Thank you Marie. April 2014

GREAT HOUSE FOR CYCLING TEAM! We stayed with our cycling team and there was plenty of room for all of us. The guys loved the beach being so close too. May 2014

LARGE GROUP WEEKEND - EXCELLENT PROPERTY AND LOCATION I was very impressed with this house, it was very clean, warm and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and facilities, plenty of plates etc and very up to date kitchen. I have never visited this area before and this house was perfectly located to walk on a beautiful beach and to see the sights of Newcastle and surrounds. I would recommend it to all, especially large groups as there was plenty of space and you didn't need to be all on top of each other. July 2014

A GREAT STAY FOR GIRLS WEEKEND AWAY The perfect place for our girls weekend away. Being women, we had showers with instant hot water [fantastic water pressure], room to spread out and instant warmth in the evenings when needed. Well supplied kitchen and a lovely decorated home. Beach for walking just across the street. Good food [music on Sunday] at the Bowls Club across the road. July 2014

COOL HOUSE AT STOCKTON BEACH Hey everyone, me and my friends just stayed at this cool house at Stockton Beach. It was a great place to hang, there was lots of room for the 11 of us. We played a bit of footy down on the beach and on the big grassy area beside it. The local strip has a bottle shop and a couple of hamburger places. Great spot. August 2014

GREAT LOCATION AND COMFORTABLE HOUSE We had an amazing time at Stockton Beach House. It's spacious, clean and has beautiful furniture, decor and finishing touches. Great location across the road from the beach and the Bowling Club. I would definitely recommend this holiday home. August 2014

PERFECTLY SUITED Stockton Beach House was a perfect place to stay. We are a sporting group of 14 people who stayed for five days in April 2014. We found the house to be very cosy and well equip to function with a large number of people. The beds are comfortable and the house is well set out with a few living areas for spacious relaxation. Being located directly opposite tennis courts and the beach were simply bonuses! Marie resides at the rear of the house and was very welcoming to our group on arrival. With many thanks Marie. An excellent beach-side property! We stayed here as a large group for a weekend, and were very impressed with the space, flexibility of bedding options, cleanliness and proximity to an amazing beach. The owner was also very helpful, and made sure all our requirements were met for our stay. I highly recommend this property to large groups or families looking for a great holiday accommodation

SOMETHING SPECIAL We had 8 adults and a baby staying and it felt like we were the only ones there, the house has nice big rooms and two lounge rooms with one being very large. From the front bedrooms u can wake up to the sound of the oceian, it's close to the shops, bowling club and patrolled part of the beach. We all enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

PERFECTLY LOCATED BEACH HOUSE! We chose the Stockton Beach House for our early Xmas celebration and our group included 6 adults & 5 children. The house was clean, colourful, spacious and had a definite holiday/beachy vibe. It was wonderful to all gather in the big lounge room to open our presents but also to be able to spread out and enjoy our own space. Our children loved the selection of inside & outside games that were provided with the house and also loved staying in the same bedroom. This meant all 3 couples had a room of their own. The location was perfect with everything within walking distance. We were only there for 2 nights but had time to sample the Chinese from the Bowlo across the road, play tennis, walk along the beach, swim at the patrolled beach, watch the surf carnival, have coffee from Lexie's, dine at one of the pubs and enjoy the beautiful sea breeze that came right through the house. A fabulous house just right for large groups looking for a beach escape!

GREAT BEACH HOUSE - LOTS TO DO!!! Upon visiting the Stockton Beach House we were instantly thrilled with the location. The close proximity to the beach and just local fun such as barefoot lawn bowling & the pub was very appealing! The beach house was very comfortable and had a couple of rooms to lounge in which was versatile for the small number we had on the first night but the slightly larger group we had on the second. The bedrooms were plentiful and kitchen well equipped for hearty meals. Definitely a house worth staying in should you ever want to stay in or near Newcastle. Sand Dune Adventures and Glen’s Kayak Tours were very close-by and allowed us to sleep-in and yet still enjoy ourselves in short organisational time. The Stockton Bowls club, Sand Dune Adventures & School of Kayak are all activities I would recommend to any group looking for some outdoor fun.
